The Ask
The goal for this project was to design a website that shares the story and experience of dining at The Sarvato, a new restaurant in the historic royal city palace. The site needed to capture the feeling of dining in a heritage setting and tell its cultural story through an editorial design style. It also had to showcase both the restaurant’s legacy and its modern culinary vision, as well as the story behind the venture.
The Design
The design uses a refined editorial style to reflect the property’s heritage and atmosphere. Carefully chosen images, elegant fonts, and clean layouts help create a sense of place that feels both historic and immersive. This approach lets visitors connect with the story of royal dining, culinary tradition, and the unique outdoor palace setting. Photography and story-driven sections invite users into The Sarvato’s world before they arrive in Jaipur.
the development
The client managed the development using the design system and visual framework I provided. I shared clear layout guides, style details, and design assets to help the build go smoothly and keep the intended look and story.
the takeaway
By aligning visual language with The Sarvato’s rich heritage and world-class dining experience, the site now serves as a compelling introduction for international audiences. It not only informs but invites users into an emotional journey, setting the tone for a memorable visit and reinforcing the restaurant’s stature as a destination of cultural and culinary significance. The website was also featured in international press during its launch and handles all restaurant bookings.
