Cue
Wellness

Cue Wellness is a mobile wellness app designed to help users build sustainable health habits. This project involved a full end-to-end UX redesign - transforming a fragmented, inconsistent interface into a calm, cohesive product experience. The engagement expanded into an ongoing consulting role, overseeing development and launch. Currently in development - launching 2026 Click on the link below for an overview case study.

The Ask
The goal was to redesign a wellness app that had the right features but lacked the visual coherence and emotional quality needed to succeed in a competitive market. The client needed a product that felt as intentional as the lifestyle it was built to support - calm, trustworthy, and genuinely satisfying to use every day. Beyond the design, the brief extended to overseeing the development process and supporting the launch strategy.
The Design
The redesign started from the ground up - building a proper design system before touching a single screen. A structured colour palette, typographic scale, and component library were established first, ensuring every subsequent decision was consistent and scalable. The visual direction aimed for warmth and clarity: generous white space, considered typography, and a natural colour palette that signals wellness without feeling clinical. Key flows - onboarding, habit tracking, and progress review - were restructured to reduce friction and surface value faster. Complete interaction states were designed for every component, giving the product a polished, responsive feel throughout.
the development
I am currently overseeing the build as a product consultant - reviewing screens against the design specs, flagging deviations before they compound, and bridging the gap between design intent and engineering execution. The Figma files were prepared with full developer annotations, component documentation, and a clean layer structure to support a smooth handoff. Regular check-ins with the development team ensure the product being built matches the product that was designed.
the takeaway
This project reinforced how much the emotional register of a product matters - especially in wellness, where trust is the product. Users will not build daily habits inside an app that feels inconsistent or rushed. The redesign gave Cue Wellness a visual language it can grow into: a system solid enough to support new features without accumulating design debt, and a tone that earns the kind of quiet confidence its users are looking for. The consulting engagement has made it possible to protect those decisions through to launch.
